AIN Watch Party ProgramPractitioners from around the globe come together to watch an AIN Talk or part of a previous conference session (usually about 10 -15 minutes). We then have mindful, appreciative conversations about it in the breakout rooms, and then have a Q&A conversation with the speakers. This usually takes around 1h and after that we sometimes keep the Zoom room open for an informal afterglow depending on how deep we are in conversation.
AIN Watch Party Events
Date: Friday, September 25th Time: 8pm - 9pm Eastern Time (NY Time) Join the Watch Party here: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/89799260406 In this Watch Party, we’ll explore 4 new(er)possibilities for how to shape and be shaped by practices of “Yes, and…” with and in higher education. These new(er)possibilities of and with “Yes, and…” are: the dialectic of being and becoming, love through vulnerability, relational curiosity, and completion (Perone & Santucci, 2025) and emerge from our recently published edited book Improvising With and In Higher Education: All Together Now (Palgrave). In each “Yes, and…” of “Yes, and…,” we will watch clips of talks to and gatherings of higher education professionals and applied improv enthusiasts, create conversation, and try activities. To close, we will wonder how we can transform our relationships, activities, and environments with, in, and beyond higher education with applied improvisation. We will be joined by Dr. Luke Perone, a faculty member in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma, as a talk guest at our next AIN Watch Party! Luke Perone has been creating adult development and learning in higher education for nearly 35 years as a(n) undergraduate student, adult and family literacy educator, teacher educator, program manager, graduate student, and faculty member. He is a faculty member in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Tacoma in the United States where he teaches courses in human development and life-span imaginative play. He is also an associate of the East Side Institute and is a long-standing builder of its international performance movement.
